Memorial to the Survivors – the names of survivors are etched onto glass behind this powerful surviving fragment of Ieper’s 12th Century Cathedral.The Prisoners of War gallery demonstrates how multimedia can be used to enhance a two dimensional image within a war museum design. The display communicates the deprivation of liberty by projecting a representation of a cage on to an already powerful graphic.
